As a woman of a certain age, finding the right foundation has turned into a chore. You realize that you can no longer wear the same type of foundation that you did in your twenties and early thirties. You still need decent coverage, because now you have things like "age spots" and "hyperpigmentation" to worry about. But the more coverage, the more cakey, and the more it sits in your fine lines.
I have tried every foundation out there. I had quite the "foundation graveyard" going on. Anything that gave me dewy complexion that I loved, but then gave me major breakouts (I have extremely sensitive skin). I looked worse then when I started. Matte foundations seemed to work well. They gave me a flawless finish, but sat in my fine lines and made my skin look dried out and older than it really was. I faced a conundrum. Do I have clear skin that looks dry and aged? Or do I have dewy, yet acne ridden skin? Both seemed like bad situations. I opted for the first choice. I used a foundation with a matte finish and dealt with the effects of that.
Once Covid hit and I started wearing a mask to work, the store, pretty much every time I left the house, I quit wearing foundation. I really liked how my skin looked using my Kandesn Skincare Set.
